Bobby’s Gin is a refined expression of Dutch Courage fuelled with Indonesian spirit. A fresh and spice-forward combination of ‘Schiedam’ gin botanicals like juniper, fennel seeds, coriander, rose hips, and traditional Indonesian spices as lemon grass, cloves, cinnamon, and cubeb peppers.

On the nose, aromatic zesty lemon and fragrant lemongrass are followed by herbal notes of coriander and juniper. Floral hints and orange blossom develop into a cool menthol breeze with delicate pepper and spice.
At the first sip, Bobby’s Gin opens with a burst of fresh and cooling citrus, followed by vibrant juniper notes and an herbaceous blend of Indonesian spices and classic gin botanicals. A firm body built of sweet orange, warming cloves, cinnamon and floral notes move to the back of the palate, supported by a warming, mouth coating texture. Bobby’s is a harmonious and balanced dry gin that ends with a smooth, long lingering and fresh, peppery finish.
Bobby’s Jenever is an adventurous blend of Indonesian spices, juniper, and traditional malt spirit. The jenever’s base of malt spirit gives just that bready, nutty base for the spices to show their citric, and herbaceous qualities.
The jenever is made of four percent malt spirit, five botanicals – lemongrass, ginger, cardamom, cubeb pepper, and juniper - and no additives, sugars, or extractions. Just clear, pure taste.
The taste starts with soft oatmeal notes paired with zesty, fresh citrus. Lively herbal notes are smoothened on a background of sweet, soft wheat bread, and toasted hazelnuts with a hint of vanilla. Flavor continues with juniper, caramelized hazelnuts, and cardamom, balanced with Indonesian spice and rewarding herbaceous notes. The flavor is carried by a smooth, warming texture. Fiery ginger root and spicy cubeb pepper create a fresh, spicy kick, and tingling sensation in the finish.
Bobby’s 5 YRS Edition is a unique limited edition gin celebrating Bobby’s 5-year anniversary in 2019. Master Distiller Ad van der Lee crafted an extraordinary combination of the Bobby’s botanical flavour profile, a base of Notaris malt jenever and 6 months of wood ageing on carefully selected and treated virgin bourbon barrels
The result is a very complex, smooth, and versatile ‘jenever-based dry gin’. The smooth and balanced flavour profile of vanilla, oak, malt, and spice make for a worthy tribute of 5 years collaboration between Bobby’s grandsons and Master Distiller Ad van der Lee at the Herman Jansen Distillery.

Sweet orange marmalade, zesty lemon and cooling lemon grass open a smooth and warm flavour profile of vanilla, juniper, cloves, and cinnamon. Meticulously balanced with malty and woody notes of caramelized pecan nuts, pastry, brioche, toffee, and butterscotch. The mouth feel is smooth, oily, chewy and creamy. A long, sweet and warming sensation of candied orange, toasted oak, warming Indonesian spices and peppers finishes this remarkable limited anniversary blend. Pinang Raci literally translates as a mishmash of spices. Grandfather Jacobus ‘Bobby’ Alfons, the inspiration and namesake of Bobby’s Gin, was well known for skilfully infusing Dutch jenever with spices that reminded him of home: Naku on the island of Ambon. As a result, he created and spiced up his own jenever!
Pinang Raci Spice Blend No.1 celebrates the flavours of grandfather Bobby’s birthplace Naku on Moluccan ‘spice island’ Ambon, in a contemporary Schiedam Dry Gin of 2022. An aromatic gin full of vibrant, warming notes of daun salam, turmeric and galangal - supported by ginger, sweet orange, cloves, cinnamon, lemongrass, cubeb pepper, coriander, and juniper.
Aromatic, floral hints and fresh cut ginger notes of galangal, zesty citrus and lemon grass, cooling laurel notes of daun salam, and vibrant juniper, followed by warming spice hints of turmeric, cinnamon, and cloves, ending with orange sweetness on the back of the nose.
The palate opens with the distinct cooling sensation of daun salam and lemon grass. Opening flavours evolve to sweet orange, fresh coriander notes and vibrant juniper. Pleasant floral notes of galangal are simultaneously playing on the background, while the oily mouthfeel is gripping all flavours together. The firm mid palate is intense and built with warm, herbal, and woody spices cinnamon, turmeric, cloves, and ginger. Bobby’s Pinang Raci Spice Blend No.1 is a very lively dry gin that tastefully balances the diverse flavour characteristics of South-Eastern spices. The finish is long lingering, smooth, and dry, with a peppery salute of Bobby’s signature cubeb peppers.
