On September 4th, 2023 we had our International Cocktail Competition Final in Schiedam, The Netherlands at 1714 Drinks & Bites. It was our honour to invite all the guests to the our hometown and birthplace of Jenever to show them what we’re all about! Taking them around Schiedam and having fun at the Perfect Serve Bar Show in Amsterdam before they headed home.
In this final 6 candidates from 6 countries (The Netherlands, UK, Italy, Hungary, Spain, and Belgium) went full on to get that prize: being our guest of honour during this year’s BCB in Berlin and €1000!
Italy’s Luca Bruni beat everyone and is Bobby’s new hero! His cocktail ‘Giblet’, a sustainable twist on a classic Gimlet, wowed the judges. Luca made his cocktail with Bobby’s Gin, citrus cordial based on discarded lime/grapefruit/orange/lemon peels, sugar, citric+malic acid and discarded tonic. Topped it of with spicy sour paint to enhance the spiciness in Bobby’s Gin and garnished it with an Ikat citrus puzzle!
