After nine years of success in the world of spirits, Bobby’s Gin reveals its first sneaker in a partnership with the innovative, of origin American lifestyle brand KangaROOS. Two tastemakers, both popular in their own scene are now mixed in a limited collab KangaROOS x Bobby’s Gin. The result: the unisex KangaROOS Ultimate in Bobby’s colourway and smell, handmade in our neighbouring country Germany and limited to just 350 pairs. A tasteful addition to a series of special editions of both brands. If that isn’t the spirit!

One of a kind

KangaRoos x Bobby’s Gin proves that style and taste are inseparably linked, and always topped off with the best quality- both brands take considerable steps to ensure this. Where at Bobby’s Gin all eight ingredients are distilled separately and then joined together into gin, KangaROOS sneakers are made entirely by hand in Germany of carefully selected fabrics and materials. KangaROOS has been producing sneakers for more than 40 years, but promotes its new joint effort as: ‘One of a kind’.

The design

What you see is ‘not’ what you get: KangaROOS x Bobby’s Gin seeks further than just cool sneakers: all senses are triggered, like the long spicy aftertaste of Bobby’s Gin. That’s why there’s a bag of cloves in the box: Bobby’s Gin’s signature ingredient creates a unique fragrance experience, ‘time after time’ when the box is opened. The design of the ‘Ultimate’ is a mix of premium mesh, hairy suede, nubuck and the famous, developed by NASA, Dynacoil-sole in the colourway of Bobby’s Gin. Light brown symbolizes the gin bottle and dark brown the cloves. Blue is the colour of the gin, yellow characterises the Pinang Raci (mix of herbs and spices) and green is the jenever bottle. The traditional Indonesian ikat pattern on the midfoot melts with the KangaROOS-icon, which also graces the logo on every heel. Bobby’s Gin brings a homage to its home base Schiedam, the distillery capital of the world. This limited pair is delivered in yellow ikat paper with three sets of shoelaces (green, blue and white) and to quench the thirst: A Bobby’s Gin-mini, for two Bobby’s & Tonic serves.

The release of KangaRoos x Bobby’s Gin is on the 29th of October 2022 at selected sneaker shops around the world and is available in sizes 36 to 47. Be quick, because the demand is high. The sneakers are exclusively available in the Netherlands in stores such as Patta (Amsterdam), Xander Franklin Store (Rotterdam) and Sneakerbaas, for 290 EUR.
